Town of Bennington Code Enforcement Officer

The Town of Bennington seeks a qualified individual for the position of Code Enforcement Officer. This position reports directly to the Director of Permitting, Planning & Code Enforcement and the Senior Code Enforcement Officer. The Code Enforcement Officer position requires certain technical knowledge and experience in the construction and inspection fields relating to minimum standards for housing, health, construction, safety, and fire prevention. He/she must be able to work cooperatively with the public and construction professionals.

Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent and supplemental education in the code enforcement, building, plumbing and electrical or fire prevention fields. He/she must possess computer skills, be able to excel in a team-oriented environment and have an excellent past work record.
