Job Summary/Basic Function:
  • Events Services. Perform set-ups and breakdowns for all College functions as requested. Store, deliver and maintain and inventory of all equipment and materials used for all College functions
  • Furniture and materials movement. Move furniture as needed or requested. Assist department in materials movement and office relocations
  • Delivery Services. Deliver and distribute cleaning supplies, materials and equipment to designated building for custodial use
  • Cleaning. Perform a variety of duties pertaining to the cleanliness, sanitization, disinfection of high touch surfaces, and upkeep of administrative, academic, and residential areas as assigned
  • Recycling removal. Monitor and empty all large recycling containers and bins throughout the Campus
  • Respond to all requests and complaints in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
  • Perform mail runs to and from the Norton Post Office
  • Serve as receiver in the absence of supervisor. Distribute College materials coming into loading dock to appropriate party
  • Other Duties Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or relevant work experience
  • One year of related work experience desired
  • Ability to operate machines used in cleaning and special training in the use of cleaning products
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic computer skills and/or the willingness to attend training and adapt to using required technology (ie: College supported enterprise systems such as Google and CMMS, etc.)
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous custodial and customer service experience

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $18-$20/hr.
