Finance Director - Housing Authority of Grant County

Location: Moses Lake, WA

The Finance Director, under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, manages the financial and accounting functions of the organization. The individual selected for this position will assure protection of the financial and physical assets and provide appropriate financial data that supports management control and decision making processes.

Financial record for HAGC is maintained as established by HUD, General Accepted Accounting Practices, Federal, and State regulations in an efficient manner.

Responsibilities for this position include: Provide strategic leadership and establish the agency's overall financial environment. Ensure all proper controls and systems are in place; enforce or ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial and securities institutions and financial transactions; and ensure there is sufficient capital and financial information for the agency to operate soundly and compliantly.

Position Qualifications:

Education: The individual(s) selected for this position must be a graduate of an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Accounting.

Experience: Five years of progressively responsible finance and fiscal planning and management, two years of which must be at a supervisory level; progressively responsible experience in budget strategies, development, and analysis. Ability to interpret and comply with established local, state, and federal accounting procedures and systems.

Other: Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.

The Housing Authority of Grant County has the discretion to accept any other equivalent combination of education and experience when relevant.

Preferred / Desirable Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations. Experience in governmental accounting, fund accounting (GAAP, GASB, and HUD) Adequate experience working with Excel spreadsheets.

Job Details:

Salary: $7,974 - $9,375 per month

Hours: 40 hour per week, Monday Thursday
