Orenco Systems, Inc.-a leading research, engineering, and manufacturing firm in the

wastewater technology industry is seeking a qualified HR Generalist. This is a mid

to senior level non-exempt staff position in the HR Department. Under the direction

of the HR Manager, performs agency-wide professional HR duties within a serviceoriented

human resources program. Primary responsibility includes: both professional/

manufacturing recruitment, employee orientation/onboarding. Responsible for job

description management, including initial draft creation/collaborating with managers to

ensure job descriptions are current on a yearly basis. Also provides secondary support

in Employee Benefits, OFLA/FMLA (Oregon Family Leave Act/Family Medical Leave

Act) tracking, employee recordkeeping, the performance management program, and

maintaining the HRIS (Human Resource Information systems) records and personnel

files. Provides general human resources policy interpretation and special project

assignments.

We are seeking an experienced applicant with at least four years of business work

experience with two of those years in a mid-level administrative position within an HR

Department. A two or four-year degree in business or other related discipline is preferred.

PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus. Requires excellent written/oral communication

skills, demonstrated organizational skills, competent MS office skills, and must have

a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information and

situations as well as continually demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy.
