Yamhill County has one regular, part-time position (32 hours/week) for a Human Services Specialist I/QMHA (Qualified Mental Health Associate) to provide integrated mental health and substance abuse services in a voluntary crisis program setting. This position is designed to provide staffing 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. The person in this position will work with multidisciplinary teams to assist individuals in accessing resources, addressing barriers related to their mental health, and developing skills that promote recovery and advocacy. Responsibilities include: providing support to individuals, assisting in utilizing recovery skills, providing assistance in connecting clients with local peer organizations, identifying strengths to achieve individual goals, and providing individual and group peer services. The work schedule for this position will be 3:00 pm to 12:00 am, Thursday through Sunday.

The salary for this position will be pro-rated for part-time:  
 (.8 FTE): $3330 - $4358 /month (DOE) with Excellent Benefits

The Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in human services related field and at least one year of relevant work experience required. An appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted for a degree. Must meet eligibility requirements to become credentialed as a QMHA through the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). A license to drive in the state of Oregon is required in addition to an acceptable driving record. Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment and must meet QMHA/QADAC requirements per State Medicaid rule. Will be subject to successful completion of a background check.
 
Special Requirements:
The State of Oregon requires all Health Services and Clinic employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exemption to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. Successful candidates for this position must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exemption prior to their first day of employment. Failure to provide proof of full documentation or receipt of an approved exemption will lead to withdrawal of the job offer.
 
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills, general keyboarding, and computer skills (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office. They will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner. The ability to prioritize a variety of competing responsibilities in a professional manner is critical, as is experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, trauma, and substance abuse. Knowledge of psychiatric medications and experience working with MAR’s (Medication Administration Records) is desirable.
