Job Summary
The Distribution Center Department Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling production and fulfillment to meet shipment targets. This position will require you to utilize leadership to effectively use your materials, labor, and equipment resources to meet and exceed all assigned KPI's and accomplishment of daily objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
  • Promote a safe working environment for employees by ensuring safety measures are in place and being adhered to.
  • Ensure operational excellence in all warehouse areas.
  • Professionally develop a team with exceptional leadership, mentorship, coaching and involvement while promoting operational process improvement.
  • Align with leadership to ensure process objectives match the business needs.
  • Maintain excellent levels of communication.
  • Ensure efficient operations of warehouse management systems.
  • Maintain and organize all areas to ensure the warehouse has a professional and clean appearance.
  • Monitor employee work performances, including accountability of company and department policies.
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.
  • Identify and address problems as they arise.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The highest level of supervisory skill required in this role with the management of supervisory employees.
  • Direct supervision of 10-25 hourly employees.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree or greater is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum (3-5) years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Experience: Greater than (5-10) years of experience working with warehouse operations and/or supply chain logistics is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • Project Management certifications are a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with all members of the organization.
  • Ability to multitask across several projects.
  • Experience with warehouse operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading and developing large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, Sales Pad and GP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power Point.
  • Excellent Math Skills
