Electrician/Meter Technician 

The Truckee Donner Public Utility District is a customer-owned electric and water utility located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains 15 miles north of Lake Tahoe. This position performs installation repair and maintenance on a wide variety of electric systems. These include fresh water pump stations, motor control, commercial & industrial wiring systems, substation control and electric revenue metering, related equipment and components utilized by District's Electric and Water Departments. 

Qualifications include completion of a wireman, electrician, or meter technician apprentice program with thorough knowledge of the National Electric Code, Title 8 of the Electrical Safety Orders and residential, commercial, and industrial electrical wiring methods. Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams. Ability to operate a personal computer, communicate and work effectively with customers and co-workers. A high school diploma or equivalent and possession of a valid Class C driver's license with record acceptable to district's insurance carrier is required. Candidates will be tested to ensure proficiency in required skills for the job. 

Wage: $45.07 to $54.78 per hour Excellent benefits package includes CalPERS retirement and paid family health insurance.
