Welder

Southeast Gas has an immediate opening for a Welder in its Dothan Office. Job provides competitive pay and an excellent benefits package: employer paid vacation and sick leave, employer-paid

This job consists of welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment.
Responsible for performing all welding associated with making taps and repairs to natural gas lines, clean and prepares surfaces to be welded, responding promptly to reports of gas leaks, conducting necessary maintenance to repair leaks, and responding to emergencies.

Additional responsibilities are preparing main tie-ins, runs main extensions and service lines, and maintains welding tools and equipment.

Job requires the ability to operate fusion equipment, a company vehicle, and the ability to drive or ride for extended periods of time. This position will involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and walking across diverse terrain. To qualify for this position, you must have a High School Diploma or GED, and possession of a valid Alabama Driver's License, and a journeyman gas fitter certification is preferred. Minimum of one years' experience in a related field required. Experience within the natural gas industry is beneficial.
