Engineer, evaluate, & validate Plastic Omnium Chattanooga Plant high volume manufacturing & assembly processes, tooling & fixtures including injection molding, material formulation, Ultrasonic welding, hole punching, painting, clips assembly sequencing, plastic bonding, & cubing, & checking fixtures, using Polyworks, Tc Vis, Jt2go, Minitab, Keops, TDM, TESIS, CTQ, & Excel tools, for product launches of psngr vehicle front fascia assemblies including fascia skin, reinforcement carriers, radar brackets, grilles, & rear fascia assemblies, including rear quarter panels, defusers, spoilers, sensors, for OEM. Participate in checking fixture concept development & design reviews with OEM, plant, & checking fixtures suppliers to ensure fixtures are designed/built to internal product & OEM specs & quality/reliability standards. Analyze & review GD&T feasibility & simulate tolerances for product manufacturing using Tc Vis & Excel based on OEM drawings. Required travel to supplier plants in US/ON/CAN & CHN to verify tooling & fixtures designs, ensure compliance with equipment specifications & agreements, conducting gage R/GR&R studies, up to 3 weeks P/A. Master, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or related. 12 months experience as Engineer, participating in checking fixture concept development & design reviews with OEM, plant, & checking fixtures suppliers to ensure fixtures are designed/built to internal product & OEM specs & quality & reliability standards, or related.
