Organization: Loudon County  Economic Development Agency
This is a professional full-time staff position reporting directly to the Executive Director assisting in the preparation/development of the following: Reports/technical documents, research material on industrial/commercial prospects, marketing brochures, updating of Agency website and existing industry programs/directories/property data sheets, assist with annual reports, grants and loan documents, preparation of meeting agendas/minutes, general office management and duties as assigned. Knowledge of Quickbooks software for AP/AR, payroll, monthly and quarterly tax returns, and preparation of financial reports is essential. This role will involve working with elected and appointed officials of Loudon County and its Cities, coordinating the activities of the Loudon County Economic Development Agency with the Chamber of Commerce, Merchants and Property Owner Associations, local planning commissions and similar organizations and participating in recruitment efforts and trade missions. 

Qualifications: 
A bachelor's degree in in business administration, political science, planning/city management or related field is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a responsible management/administrative position is preferred. Must be proficient with Quickbooks software and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of website development, database software, and other related computer software such as GIS is a plus. Requires strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with other programs responsible for the recruitment and retention of businesses for the betterment of the community. Some in-state travel and night meetings will be required. Salary range $45,000-$52,000 DOE.
