CNC Machinist / Programmer - FULL TIME (Butler, WI)

COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in one or more of our skilled trades; patternmaking, tool & die, machinist, metrology, CAD design, welding, maintenance.
  • Shop machine, tool & mathematics knowledge.
  • Programming knowledge is a plus.
  • CAD & CAM software.
  • Shop Production and Processing.
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
  • Education Required: High School diploma and Technical class work in above areas
  • Experience Required: One year


HOURS OF WORK: Full Time - 40+ hours per week - 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
MACHINIST

  • Read & interpret shop drawings, CAD files, and program CAM toolpaths.
  • Machine patterns, tools, fixtures, parts to specifications, using CNC & manual machine tools.
  • Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
  • Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
  • Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or calipers.
  • Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Calculate dimensions of workpieces, products, or equipment.
  • Operate cutting, grinding & metal or plastic forming equipment.
  • Assure all operations are done safely.


PROGRAMMER

  • Create toolpaths and cut sheet instructions for patterns, tools, fixtures, parts to specifications to be machined on CNC lathes, milling machines or routers.
  • Communicate effectively to assure efficient, complete, and accurate products.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles by gaining & applying knowledge on cutting tools, strategy, and automation.


WAGE: $21.00 - $30.00 / hour based on experience

We offer design services with Cad/Cam design, toolpath and CNC development & plastic prototype services with thermoplastic, thermoset and composites. With our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) we provide digitizing and certification of models, tools, fixtures or parts.
