DynaMed, a leading point-of-care evidence-based medicine resource, is accepting applications for a Deputy Editor to oversee its Infectious Diseases content. The Deputy Editor will lead a team responsible for the development and ongoing curation of infectious diseases content including topics on diagnosing and treating conditions, pathogens, procedures, and infection control/prevention.  They will work with both an in-house team of skilled writers and editors as well as an external network of specialists to ensure the content reflects the highest quality clinical expertise and the principles of evidence-based medicine.  The Deputy Editor is integral to the DynaMed mission of providing the most useful, easily accessible information at the point-of-care to healthcare providers world-wide who rely on DynaMed every day to assist in delivering outstanding patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure clinical excellence and relevance of all infectious diseases content before publication
• Evaluate new evidence and guidelines for potential inclusion in DynaMed
• Collaborate with our team of high-quality physician specialists who assist in developing and reviewing content; recruit additional experts as needed
• Support a culture of collaborative teamwork and contribute to staff development through effective teaching, editing, feedback, and coaching
• As a key member of the leadership team, participate in developing
  • Goals and objectives for the editorial team
  • Quality and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Overall product strategy and vision
• Promote product adoption and usage

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) with current license in good standing
• Subspecialty board certification in Infectious Diseases
• An understanding of the principles of evidence-based medicine and a commitment to incorporating them in guiding clinical decision-making
• > 10 years of direct patient care experience in the field of Infectious Diseases and a willingness to maintain ongoing clinical activities
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with > 2 years of experience as a team leader or project leader
• Ability to self-manage multiple priorities within deadlines, delegate tasks and responsibilities

Target Annual Salary Range: $127,085 - $181,550. This Pay Target range includes a bonus target of 5% of base salary. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
