Job Summary: Empire Innovation Scholar Position as a Clinical/translational investigator with proven skills in conducting original research; strong history of extramural funding with the expectation of continued funding; demonstrated skills in collaborative research across disciplines; publications in peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidate will join a thriving Biology of Aging and Neuroscience community of over 40 investigators with strengths in Alzheimer's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease Related Dementias, age-related neurodegenerative disease, neuropsychiatric disorders and visual sciences, supported by state-of-the-art genomics and proteomics facilities.
In concert with the Neurodegenerative Disorder Center (https://www.upstate.edu/neurodegenerative/), the successful candidate will assist in the growth and development of an active AD/ADRD research community competing for NIH program grants and aspiring to ADRC designation.
Will carry the title of Assistant, Associate or Professor of Empire Innovation (rank dependent upon qualifications) in the Departments of Neuroscience & Physiology and Geriatrics. Minimum Qualifications:

PhD, MD or MD/PhD in the appropriate area of discipline/specialty, with a strong record of funding and publications. Junior researchers will be considered only if holding NIH or foundation funding, including career development awards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Evaluate scientific information and new ideas to assist in identifying new research opportunities and funding. Leadership skills in working with colleagues to foster synergies within a growing community of AD/ADRC researchers.
