The Quad-City Times and Moline Dispatch-Argus is seeking a full-time sports copy editor/reporter to join our team.

Our two-state coverage area features approximately 45 high schools, several small colleges and the University of Iowa along with minor league baseball and hockey along with indoor football, an annual PGA Tour stop and one of the country's top road races each summer.

This position is a combination of working on the sports copy desk two to three nights per week and out in the field covering games along with writing player profiles and enterprise reporting a couple times per week.

We want someone with good time management and organizational skills, including the ability to deliver on deadline and handle multiple tasks. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable using social media and compiling video interviews for our online audience. The individual must be willing to work nights and weekends.

We'd prefer candidates with previous newsroom experience, but recent college graduates with strong clips will be considered. We welcome diversity in our newsroom.
