Heating & Cooling Products Leading HVAC Manufacturer with state of the art metal fabrication equipment has the following opening: Field Service Techs Up to: $25.59 SUMMARY: Completes nationwide field service calls in all weather conditions day and night, normally done by driving to the location. Meets with contractors and customers to assure unit performance and build good relationships in the field. Responsibilities: The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities that are expected of the Field Service Technician; however, additional duties may be assigned, as required. Performs factory rep startups using checklist while initializing units and handling any issues found. Performs troubleshooting and repair for electrical, mechanical, cabinet and refrigeration circuit issues. Education and Experience Requirements: It is preferred that an individual in this position have a minimum of Vocational/Technical Training to meet entry-level requirements. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities. It is preferred that an individual will have a minimum of 3-5 years industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry. Other Certifications: HVAC, REFRIGERANT CERT, Mechanical Journeyman`s License Successful job incumbents will consistently demonstrate competency when engaged in the following critical tasks and important tasks: Critical Tasks: Complete field service reports on jobs performed at each site (digital photos, descriptions of issues, etc., to correct problems in the future) Complete nationwide field service calls in all weather conditions day and night, normally done by driving to the location Meet with contractors and customers to assure unit performance and build Perform AAON factory rep startups - perform checklist while initializing units and fix any problems found Perform diagnostic tests (check pressures, temperatures, electronics, electrical wiring, mechanical parts, etc.) to verify proper operation Perform troubleshooting and repair, if necessary, for electrical, mechanical, cabinet and refrigeration circuit issues Purchase parts, supplies, materials (refrigerant, brazing rods, copper connectors, hand tools, gasses for torches, etc.) in the field as required Train building maintenance personnel and service companies in performing maintenance on the units, understanding the operation sequences and using electronic service tools Important Tasks: Change failed components within equipment on units in the field (compressors, coils, electronic components, recover refrigerant, etc.). Drive a vehicle for up to 95 percent of the hours worked Lift up to 50 pounds. Maintain company vehicle (oil and fluid changes, tires, alignments, tune-ups, etc.) Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of the hours worked Since our business is continuously changing to meet the needs of our customers, you can expect and assume your job will change.
