We are looking for Technicians who want to become part of an innovative, team-oriented and rapidly growing company with a distribution center in Las Vegas, NV.

                                                           

Position description:

Based on experience, Technicians will perform basic to advanced duties relating to the installment, assembly, deployment and maintenance of electrical equipment and components on solar and solar-based products.  

Position Requirements:

 

  • Mounting of job boxes and inverters.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers and other components.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
  • Assemble trailers, tires, mount structures, torque lug nuts and check air pressures.
  • Drill solar panels for bolts.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Possess a solid understanding and maintain functionality of equipment including electrical functions, amps, ohms, continuity, voltage, etc.
  • T-Mobile call-out training and preparedness for the On Call Schedule.

 

  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools; and have the ability to locate the cause of the breakdown and accurately correct the problem.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as deploying DC Solar equipment to T-Mobile sites and other events that is required; and be on the mandatory 24-hour On Call Schedule.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies.
  • Ability to interface with clients and work with onsite contacts to complete deployments and work orders.
  • Must be tech savvy (e.g. utilize Google Earth to interpret coordinate data for placements, etcetera)
  • Possess systemic knowledge of equipment and be able to identify issues, troubleshoot on job sites. Consult master techs as needed. 
  • Must be forklift certified (or obtain certification post-hire); use forklift to load and unload units, pallets, etc. from trucks
  • All deployment duties – towing trailers to and from worksites, loading and unloading of equipment, etc.
  • Work under tight deadlines and problem solve in high pressure situations to meet customer needs

 

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

 

  • Wide flexibility and availability in work schedule based on season and/or client needs (shift times may begin as early as 7:00a or as late as 2:00p)
  • Have clean driving record (DMV) for insurance purposes
  • Be mechanically inclined; two or more years of technical work experience preferred (hands-on fabrication, installation, wiring and diagnoses of test fixtures and associated hardware)
  • Be able to interpret technical information (manuals, equipment, etc.) and troubleshoot issues
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree and/or technical certifications preferred
  • Strong communication skills; customer-oriented, polite and responsible
  • Familiar with electrical safety protocols
  • Ability to take initiative, be persistent and deliver results
