A sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the medical director and manager to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff.
Education and/or experience: Current licensure in the state of Tennessee by Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners. Complete registry through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Current in BLS (CPR for health care providers). Prefer one to two years job related experience.

Knowledge/Skills: Requires knowledge of different aspects of sleep medicine. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and families as well as co-workers and physicians.
