Full time opening in Administration - Information Systems.
Purpose:
The Information Systems Specialist position is part of the Information Systems team that provides support services to the users at the Health District’s main and remote offices. The individual will perform a variety of technical tasks, either independently or assisting the IS Team, that include help desk ticket administration, desktop support, procurement, training and documentation. The position requires a strong customer-oriented work ethic while balancing competing priorities and tasks under tight deadlines.
Ticket System Administration:
Responds to lower level Tier 1 support requests and resolves the issue or escalates it to the next higher tier level.
Assigns Higher level tier support requests to other IS team members as appropriate.
Provides regular communication including status updates to requestor.
Desktop Support:
Diagnoses, repairs and installs desktops, laptops, and tablets related to the hardware, software, operating system, and/or peripheral components (ex. printers, scanners). Diagnoses and repairs smart phone related issues. Assist the IS Team with high level support requests. Provides domain login account support (password support, permissions assignment)
Procurement:
Researches and recommends hardware and software for existing and new technology as they relate to help desk support needs
Training:
Trains staff on the use of desktops, laptops, tablets, and smart phones along with software and operating systems in the SRHD network domain environment
Documentation:
Reviews the closed IS support requests and updates the IS FAQ page as needed. Also makes recommendations for Agency wide communications based on the review of closed IS support requests. Reviews and updates IS policies and procedures for desktop support. Creates new desktop support policies and procedures.
Projects:
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of college level course work in a Computer Science or related field
One year of related experience (or three years of directly related experience with a high school diploma). Related certifications may also be considered in lieu of college level course work.
Licenses/Certifications:
A plus or MTA (Network+, Security+, MCSE, CCNA) preferred
