Workforce Development Specialist

The Southeast Tennessee Development District located in Chattanooga, Tennessee has an opening for the position of a Workforce Development Specialist. This role will serve ten counties in Southeast Tennessee as a subject matter expert that can deliver high-value services to a diverse base of business and industry partners, job seekers, and partner stakeholders. Duties include, but not limited to, oversight and management of the public workforce system, policy development and implementation, providing technical assistance to a variety of contracted staff and contractors, contract and performance management, and development of strategic initiatives in support of the local plan. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or associate's degree in a related field and direct program related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Also, Good communication and problem-solving skills in needed.
