**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

Provide community based care to youth, their families and their providers.

Identify the unique signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use in relation to children and adolescents for diagnostic accuracy.

Mobile Crisis Intervention youth Clinicians perform risk assessment specific to children, adolescents and families, for episodes of varying intensity and complexity.

Must be able to exhibit sound client engagement and de-escalation skills with children

Understand and demonstrate clinically competent information pertaining to children, adolescents, and families.

Work collaboratively work within an interdisciplinary team, including a BA level staff, Family Partner, Child Psychiatrist and Child Certified Supervisor.

BHN’s Crisis Program provides 24/7 front line response to individuals of all ages who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, regardless of insurance. BHN provides services on a mobile basis, including home and community-based settings or in an emergency department when needed.

Job Requirements:

Mobile Crisis Youth Clinicians at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Master’s Degree from a clinical program or a Doctorate in Psychology or Social Work (required).
  • Licensed or license eligible (required).
  • Reliable transportation during each shift to provide community based services (required).
  • Working knowledge of the wraparound model (required).
  • Knowledge of grief and trauma, specific to children and adolescents.
  • Knowledge and application of the Recovery Oriented model, specific to those experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Strong motivational interviewing skills,
  • Empathic skills, ability to establish rapport with consumers, family members and service providers.
  • Good observation, thorough documentation skills, ability to provide solution-focused, strengths-based treatment.
  • Strong clinical care communication and coordination.
  • In depth understanding of childhood development in context of risk.
  • Assessment of the potential obstacles and benefits associated with treatment levels of care.
  • Brief solution and strength based focused therapy experience.
