Alys Beach IT team is looking for a Technical IT Support Manager to join their team. We are looking for an energetic and driven manager who shares a passion leading a team of people that love to support customers and deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction. As an IT Technical Support Manager, you should have a solid technical background combined with customer service experience. The ultimate goal is to ensure high quality technical support and increase client satisfaction.

 

 

DUTIES

 

  • Provide leadership, feedback, and direction to direct staff regarding technologies and project direction 
  • Manage staff to execute the department’s goals as they relate to end user services, implementation, and operation. (This includes responsibility for evaluating new technologies, methods, and processes and assessing their value in making the end user computing infrastructure more scalable, resilient, and secure.)
  • Develop and manage technology partner relationships
  • Responsible for negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors who provide software, hardware, telecommunications or other licensed services
  • Evaluate new technologies to improve operational efficiency. Work with the Senior Staff to make recommendations designed to benefit the company over the long run.
  • Oversee efforts for contingency planning and emergency preparedness.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports
  • Recruit, retain, motivate, manage, and lead a strong team of qualified individuals to ensure that departmental goals are achieved.

  • Keep upper management informed of delays or obstacles that reduce the likelihood of meeting release schedules.
  • Perform proactive project management including prioritization of tasks and follow-up on status.

  • Software Support (all items on tech matrix)
  • Hardware Support, i.e., computer does not turn on, or replacement parts.
  • Website Maintenance/Support (Assist with design/code/functionality changes)
  • Point of Sale Installation, support, and maintenance (user management, adding job codes, creating new items, modifying screens, printer setup, interfaces config/maintenance, training)
  • Property Management System support and maintenance
  • Audio Visual Support for Alys Beach Employees (projectors, speakers, sound system, VR assistance)
  • Audio Visual Support for Rental Guests/Property Owners (House calls/Business calls – we try to keep these calls under 15 minutes.
  • Desktop Phone installation, support, and maintenance
  • Cell Phone ordering/Support
  • Inventory Recording/ Management
  • POC and IT Support for IT related events.

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years proven experience managing an IT team, leading a team of at least 3 people
  • Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
  • •Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
  • •Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • •Team management skills
  • •BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred
