This is a full-time tenured track faculty position teaching courses in the School of Criminal Justice (CJ) program both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ferris State University’s School of Digital Media invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the Digital Animation Game Design (DAGD) Bachelor of Applied Science Degree Program, effective January 9, 2017. The School of Digital Media (SDM) at Ferris offers Bachelor degrees that seek to provide applied learning experiences for students through small class sizes and project-oriented course-work. We offer an equipment intensive learning experience throughout the program from the student’s freshman experience, through graduation. Upon completion of their studies, students complete an internship in preparation for entry into the work place. Additionally, a desire to do ongoing creative work is encouraged. A candidate’s ability to bring relevance to the classroom through their professional experiences is highly desired. Expertise in animation, with an emphasis in 3d work is required. Required: Master’s degree with minimum of 8 years teaching 2D and 3D animation. The Department of Languages and Literature at Ferris State University invites applications for a tenure track, Assistant Professor Position in Technical and Professional Writing to teach face-to-face and on-line courses in technical and professional communication, advanced writing courses in technical, proposal, business and/or science writing. Ferris faculty teach a 4/4 load as well as assist in internships, undergraduate research and/or scholarship. The Electrical/ Electronics Technology and Computer Networks & Systems Department invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Electrical/Electronics faculty position. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and teaching courses in the Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronic Technology, and Computer Networks and Systems programs. Health Professions Program Liaison (HPPL) – JOB CODE: A20505. A full-time, two-year temporary, position to serve as a liaison between Ferris State University’s healthcare programs and 2- and 4-year higher-education institutions and selected/regional high schools to enhance student preparation, and thereby successful application, for the requirements of healthcare professional programs offered by the University. The position will be responsible for enhancement of programmatic articulation and transfer efficiency for students. The HPPL will complement the existing work of the University’s recruitment office, focusing efforts on healthcare professional bachelor’s degrees and graduate programs that include the Master’s Degrees in Public Health, Nursing and Healthcare Administration as well as professional doctorate degrees in Nursing, Optometry and Pharmacy. The position will report to the Provost/Vice-President for Academic Affairs and the Health Care Colleges (HCC) Deans through the Institute of Health Care Collaborations. Ex officio membership on existing admissions committees and establishment of a collaborative relationship with other standing committees is expected. Limited instructional responsibilities as determined to be appropriate based on expertise and academic background. Pursuit of research/scholarly activities is expected. Required: Terminal degree in higher education, student services, educational administration, or STEM-related field. Mechanical Engineering Technology Faculty (9mos Tenure Track) – JOB CODE: F11200. Teach lower and upper undergraduate division courses in an ETAC/ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Technology program. Assist in obtaining and continuing ETAC/ABET accreditation for MET. Faculty in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) are expected to teach a variety of courses across the curriculum. Required: Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related engineering field.
