Family Programs Outreach Assistant Position
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) is seeking a detail-oriented individual who can work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines to work as the NFFF’s Family Programs Outreach Assistant. This individual will conduct outreach to families who have lost a firefighter in the line-of-duty. Duties include dissemination of information about the NFFF services; connecting families with local resources on a case-by-case basis; maintain case files; research how to best reach the NFFF target constituents.
The person selected for this position must have the ability to build a strong rapport with families, be a good listener, and be sensitive to cultural and ethnic diversities and complex family situations and be willing to travel. This grant-funded position is a full-time position working out of the NFFF’s Emmitsburg office.
A minimum of a high school diploma is required, a bachelor’s degree or higher education degree in social work, or behavioral health-related fields preferred. The successful applicant must possess a valid, state-issued driver’s license and successfully complete a federal background check.
