The Assistant Nurse Manager will maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient/families.

Essential duties include:

• Routinely provide patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains employee records.
• Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development.
• Participates in community resource referrals and education.
• Committee involvement, participate with quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost effective manner.
• Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers.
• Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
• Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

Location:  UH Seidman Cancer Center, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH

Shift:  Full time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays

• 1-2 years clinical experience required, prior oncology, stem cell or bone marrow transplant experience preferred
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred
• RN licensure in the State of Ohio required
• Certification in specialty clinical area or leadership is required.  If not, certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic.
• Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high pressure situations with professionalism and integrity.
• Knowledge of current technology and equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies
