Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Assistant Athletic Director/Head Baseball Coach.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position is responsible for assisting the Director of Athletics in the areas of Fundraising, Student Academic Advisement & Development and the SWIC Athletic Community Outreach Program. This posi-tion also serves as head Baseball Coach. The Assistant Athletic Director for Fundraising & Community Outreach and Academic Advisement will manage fund raising for all Sports in coordination with the College Foundation. In addition, this position will assist student athletes in all academic matters including course selection and supervision and monitoring of all academic progress including graduation requirements. This position will also establish and manage the SWIC Athletic Community Outreach Program designed to promote the “SWIC” and “SWIC Athletic” brand in the district through volunteer and charity involvement. All activities will be approved by the Athletic Director and Chief Administrative Service Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's Degree is required.

2. Two years of coaching experience in a significantly competitive situation is required.

3. Demonstrable knowledge of the role of athletics in the educational and developmental growth of the individual athlete.

STARTING PAY AND HOURS

Grade 3 on the Administrative Salary Scale, ranging from $51,164 to $59,901 per year.

Belleville Campus with district wide responsibilities.
