GENERAL PURPOSE:

 

The Demand Planner is responsible for leading the activities of inventory forecasting and demand planning for Luxor and its subsidiaries.  This position will work closely with Sales and Sales Operations to build, manage, and maintain an unconstrained demand forecast.  This position will also play an integral role in the development, management, and maintenance of an S&OP program.  As new ERP/forecasting tools are developed this individual will develop a process to transition into those new tools, utilizing proven forecasting methodology within inventory management. This contributes directly to Luxor’s success through effectively aligning the demand planning with the sales and financial forecasts. This individual will be required to work cross functionally and collaboratively with multiple departments within and outside of the supply chain.

 

The Demand Planner II will participate in the development, management, and maintenance of key performance indicators including but not limited to:

 

  • Forecast accuracy including MAPE and BIAS
  • Inventory turns by subsidiary
  • Order fill rate by dollars and units by subsidiary
  • E-Commerce strategy w/relevant KPI’s
  • CCC
  • Working Capital

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

  • Manages the demand planning for multiple subsidiaries for Luxor Workspaces
  • Works collaboratively to manage and set appropriate inventory forecasting including:
    • Unconstrained demand forecast for multiple subsidiaries
    • S&OP cycle management
    • Service Levels, Safety Stock Percentages, Preferred Stock Levels
    • Demand profile tags
    • Inventory investment
    • Inventory Turns
    • Working Capital
    • Supplier capacity management
  • Manages forecasting tools and orders generated by forecasting runs, and makes changes to product or system settings to correct any discrepancies / improve forecasts
  • Works within the NPD program representing the demand function within that process, communicates directly with Supply Planning, Distribution Centers, and Sales/Sales Ops
  • Tracks KPIs and reports on supply chain performance on a set schedule
  • Creates and maintains documentation for Inventory Planning SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

Work History Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in planning, Inventory Management, S&OP
  • Proven track record of successful Inventory and S&OP Management
  • Experience in Manufacturing and Sourcing models for inventory procurement
  • Import and export experience required
  • Ability managing inventories in multiple sites for multiple business models i.e. B&M, D2C, B2B, Drop Ship, Direct Import, Direct Ship
  • Ability to travel occasionally

 

Educations Requirements:

  • College Degree Required, preferable in Business Management, Supply Chain Operations, or equivalent experience
  • Multi-site inventory management required

 

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:

 

 

  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems in relevant system areas
  • Experience with forecasting and planning tools
  • Experience in developing and participating in an S&OP platform and culture

 

 

Specific Knowledge, licenses, certifications REQUIRED:

 

  • General Workplace Safety Training
  • OSHA Regulations Familiarity
