Part time Driver Education Instructor needed in Gastonia, NC for Gaston County High Schools

Great opportunity for teachers, retired teachers, retired law enforcement, retired state workers, retired military, ministers, & pastors.

$18 per hour to start depending on teaching experience. (Teaching experience not required)

20-30+ possible hours per week during the school year. (12 hours minimum)

Must be able to teach at least 4 (30 hour) courses per year.  (Classes are two weeks after school 3:45pm-6:45pm and one week in the summer 8am-2 pm)

Must be available to work between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm during the school year. (September-May)

Hours may be between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during the summer. (June, July, August)

Must be 25 years of age,

Must take an 80-hour (two week) certification course.

Responsibilities may include teaching High School Freshman a 30 classroom course and or 6 hours of behind the wheel training.

Must have at least 4 years of experience as a licensed operator of a motor vehicle. Must have not been convicted of a felony involving moral turpitude in the last ten years. Must not have any revocation or suspension of license in the last 5 years.

Must have graduated from High School or have High School equivalency certificate.

Must not have convictions for moving violations totaling 4 points in the last 5 years.

Motor Vehicle Record and Background checks are completed prior to hiring.
