The Child Care Teacher implements programs and activities in the preschool and/or school age child care classroom. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that is focused on the YMCA Core Values: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

• Listed with the ORO a plus
• Work at least 2 years, full-time, with at least one year as a teacher aide in a certified child-care facility.
• Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
• Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions.
• Seeks first to understand the other person's point of view, and remains calm in challenging situations.

Lifeguard at the YMCA of Douglas County creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pools, hydrotherapy pools, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

• Required Lifeguard certification consists of lifeguard, CPR, first aid, AED, & oxygen training. If certification has expired classes available.
• Minimum age of 15
• Able to swim 300 years, swim with a 10# weight 20 yards
