Senior Accountant and IT Specialist

Salary $83,700.00 - $85,000.00 per Yearly Millcreek Engineering Company is a full-service engineering company. Millcreek Engineering Company seeks to hire full time Senior Accountant/IT Specialist. The position is located in Salt Lake City (Millcreek), Utah.

The following are required for this position: BS degree in accounting or related field Proficiency with SAP B1 Proficiency formatting and creating Crystal Reports SQL The ideal candidate will have experience in project accounting and possess excellent cross-organizational communication skills. Time management, critical thinking skills, the ability to work well in a team setting, initiative, flexibility, and ability to motivate and lead are all important in this role. Responsible for financial and accounting functions. Must have ability to apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare accurate project and financial reports for management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee technical implementation and programing of SAP Accounting Software. Design, format and Maintain Crystal Reports for use with SAP accounting software. Responsible to create queries within SQL server for reporting purposes. Oversee financial and accounting data entry of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Oversee financial and accounting revenue and insure all income is recorded properly. Responsible for input and maintenance of general ledger, inventory and fixed asset accounts. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit/loss, cash flow, balance sheet, employee time and revenue. Audit the data input for invoicing and prepare monthly invoices accurately. Coordinate with project managers to review the budget sheets and analyze time and expenses usage with a goal of optimizing project profitability. Review current projects and establish that new projects set up in accordance with company policies and contractual obligations. Must have knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Professional Office with emphasis on Excel and strong computer skills. Prior experience in the construction, architecture or engineering industry preferred.
