Basic Requirements:

* Ensures timely, safe food service to customers, plates and serve foods, and stocking of foods.
* Washing dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and rack dishes.
* Cleans and sanitizes equipment and the facilities.
* Maintains the physical area efficiently and effectively. Including the cleaning and sanitation of all areas.
* Responsible for maintaining, cleaning and stocking all food service areas.

* Responsible for knowing their areas' menu, service standards and procedures.
* Interacts with internal and external customers effectively and works to meet and exceed their expectations.
* Demonstrates adherence to NMHS' Mission, Vision and Values Statement & to Service Excellence Standards and serves as a role model to staff.

Communications:

* Assists in effective communication throughout the department.
* Strives to meet our all internal and external customer's needs and expectations.
* Must be polite and respond appropriately with all internal & external customers.

Budget:

* Assists in helping management meet budget. Must use food and supplies wisely.
* Uses their time wisely and adheres to the lunch and break schedule.

Safe Food Handling & Sanitation:

* Follows proper food safety procedures and properly documents required monitors.
* Actively participates in FNS's HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) Program.
* Cleans & sanitizes of all areas to meet the State Board of Health Standards.
* Assists in the keeping assigned HACCP monitors and all other departmental documents.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred

* Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally.
* Ability to follow oral instructions.
* Prior food service experience preferred.
* Ability to be able to read and write English is desirable.
