Notice of Written Examination Borough of Telford The Borough of Telford announces that it is beginning the process of completing an eligibility list for a full-time police officer.

Application and other forms required to be completed in order to apply for the position of full-time police officer are available at the Borough of Telford, 50 Penn Avenue, Telford, PA 18969. A $65 application fee is due at the time of application drop off. The Borough of Telford is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. * GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER • United States Citizen – attach copy of naturalization documentation, if applicable • High School or Graduate Equivalency Diploma – attach copy of diploma • Completion of Act 120 – attach copy of certificate • Valid PA Operator’s License – at time of hire • Physically and Mentally Fit • No visible tattoos on the hands, face, or neck. Piercing studs must be removable for work hours • Good Moral Character

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER ONE, OR MORE, OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION • Minimum of 60 Academic Credits from an Accredited College or University • Diploma or Certificate of Completion from a post high school Accredited Technical or Vocational School (Minimum of 800 Classroom Hours IN ADDITION to Act 120 Certification) • Minimum of Two (2) Years of ACTIVE Service in Any Branch of the United States Armed Forces • Minimum of Two (2) Years of Service (with a minimum of 1,000 worked hours) in a Law Enforcement Position (this shall include police, corrections, parole, sheriff) • Five (5) Years of Consecutive, Full-Time, Employment with the Same Employer

Completed applications must be turned in to the borough office during normal business hours by 5:00 p.m. on January 4th, 2023. A written examination will be held on January 18, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the Borough Office, 50 Penn Avenue, Telford, PA. A physical agility test will be held at 1:00 p.m. After the tests an oral examination is given. The date will be announced following the written and physical agility examinations. In addition, candidates who are one of the top three names certified will be subject to a background check. This includes a polygraph examination, medical, and psychological examinations. A copy of the Borough of Telford’s hiring policy, as set forth in the Civil Service Rules & Regulations, is available for inspection during regular business hours.
