This is a benefit-eligible position, plus:

$16/HR Starting Pay + $1/HR Premium Pay
Pay premium is temporary until 6.30.2022 at which time it will be re-evaluated

$1000 Sign On Bonus:
$250 after 30 days of employment
$750 after 90 days of employment

Job Summary

This is a Senior level position with flexible responsibilities that include performing restorative maintenance of the health system's hard floor, carpets, and upholstery according to procedures at ambulatory sites. Other responsibilities at locations within the Greater Grand Rapids area be assigned to fill shortages, including cleaning and disinfecting assigned work area according to department procedures. Removing medical waste, trash, and linens.

Essential Functions

• Travel from building to building is required via company car (or paid mileage).
• Responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting, and stocking of patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas according to established procedures. Responsible for the removal and disposal of linens and waste streams.
• Performs interim and restorative maintenance to hard floor, carpets, and upholstery according to procedures.
• Assembles, maintains, and stores equipment/supplies that are necessary to complete tasks according to department standards.
• Communicates and collaborates with other members of the team to ensure continuity and coordination of services. Reports general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in work area.
• Assists visitors and employees in navigating through the hospital to reach their destination.
• Fully functioning within one cleaning area.
• May be expected to work across department sites for coverage and business need.
• Picks up and delivers various materials, supplies and other items and ensures vehicle is ready for the following route by filling up the gas tank and returning keys and equipment to designated area. Keep vehicles clean, organized, and prepared for the next drive to utilize. Advise supervisor of any repairs needed. Ensures timely, safe, and accurate deliver and must be able to operate vehicles in all weather and driving conditions and abides by all traffic laws while representing SH in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
• public service and or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience Preferred
• Must be 21 years of age Required

• Valid Michigan Auto Insurance

• Must have excellent driving record Required

• LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
