Rural Water District No. 5, Douglas County is seeking to fill a full-time Lead Operator position/Operator to operate Public Wholesale Water Supply District No. 25 Water Plant (located east of Lawrence). Responsibilities include operating the water treatment plant, maintaining wells, booster pump stations and water distribution system. RWD No. 5 offers competitive pay, KPERS (retirement plan), monthly insurance stipend and vacation & sick leave. Possession of a high school diploma and a valid driver's license is required. Lead Operator applicants must hold a Kansas Class IV Water Operator Certification and have three to five years of water plant and lead operator or supervisory experience.
