Summary: Lee Enterprises Incorporated is seeking qualified candidates for a full time Systems Administrator position to join a data center team supporting multiple data centers across the US. The data centers support coast to coast operations. This role requires a combination of technical implementation, administration and maintenance capabilities. The position requires an in-depth knowledge of systems with experience administering both physical and virtual Windows Server environments including up to Server 2019. Additional experience with versions of Linux, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, VMWare, Active Directory, CylancePROTECT, Rapid7, PCI and Sarbanes Oxley auditing are a plus. Qualified applicants should be proficient in troubleshooting a wide variety of issues including both server and network environments.

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Installation and administration of Windows based systems and servers including Domain Controllers, Web Servers, File Servers, Exchange Servers, SQL Servers and Windows Clusters.
• Administration of DNS, DHCP and WSUS.
• Administration of a large VMWare environment.
• SAN configuration, monitoring and management including fiber channel and iSCSI connectivity.
• Management of a backup environment including Veeam, EMC Avamar and EMC Data Domain systems.
• Active Directory management including the creation of users and groups. GPO creation and management.
• Administration of a large Microsoft RDS (Terminal Services) environment.
• Coordination with both the network and application teams on software and hardware upgrades as well as any systems down emergencies

Required Experience & Skillset:
• 5 or more years of on the job experience in an active Systems Administrator role.
• Extensive knowledge of both Active Directory and Windows server operating systems.
• Must work well with others.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.

Other desired but not required skills:
• Dell storage arrays.
• Powershell scripting.
• Linux.
• Cloud technologies including Azure, AWS and Office 365.
• Mobile device management.
