Job Summary

This position is a six month, temporary position with the possibility of an extension if needed.

Serves as an administrative coordinator to assist the Integration Program Manager. Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project lifecycle. Responsible for assembling the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. To effectively coordinate the activities of the team, must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. Competent to work on most phases of project management, under the guidance of a more experienced team member.

Essential Functions

  • Typically under the direction of a more experienced project manager, oversees multiple small to medium sized projects of low to medium complexity. Related tasks may be a portion or phase of a large project or program.
  • Responsible for all aspects of assigned tasks over the entire life cycle of a project: Develops project plans and schedules, coordinates project work, and completes projects on time and within budget.
  • Assesses resource requirements for projects tasks, and works with project and resources managers to meet project plan deliverables. Organizes and works with appropriate department leaders to plan and schedule the coordination of people and tasks, as needed to accomplish project objectives. Able to coordinate activities of numerous, diverse areas simultaneously.
  • Serves as a liaison for projects between various departments within Spectrum Health. Communicates, collaborates, networks and acts as a consultant to stakeholders/business partners in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Analyzes and documents processes, procedures and outcomes to seek continuous improvement.
  • Adheres to the Spectrum Health Project Management methodology and quality standards, and acts as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management and the Spectrum Health Project Management methodology and toolset.

Qualifications
  • Required Associate's Degree or equivalent /Technical school or equivalent
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in the field Required
  • 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in the field Preferred
  • Basic project management experience, including collecting business requirements and working with cross-functional stakeholders Preferred
  • Experience managing small teams (2 to 5+) Preferred
  • CRT-Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI Project Management Institute preferred
  • CRT-Project Management Professional, Associate (CAPM) preferred
