Finance Director
Town of Telluride
The Town of Telluride is seeking to fill the position of Finance Director. Key management position leads and oversees Finance Department which is responsible for the financial and accounting operations of the Town and manages Town's financial resources to assure the fiscal well-being of the Town of Telluride.
Information:
Serves as chief financial advisor to the Town Manager and the Town Council
Forecasts, estimates and monitors the Town's financial condition
Plans, organizes, coordinates, supervises and evaluates Finance department services
Develops and implements policies and procedures
Leads the finance department which includes Senior Accountant and 2 Assistant Accountants
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field; CPA, MBA, or MPA preferred
5 years progressively responsible public finance work including supervisory responsibilities
Considerable knowledge of fiscal planning
Working knowledge of budgetary, accounting, and reporting systems, GAAFR, GAAP, and GASB
Excellent communication skills and public relations
