Job Summary | The Assistant Director for Fitness supports the mission of Campus Recreation to provide unparalleled recreation programs, services, and facilities that support students in living active lives of meaning and purpose. This position under the guidance of the Associate Director for Programs oversees the Fitness department which provides recreation programs and services that are responsive to the physical, social, recreational, and lifelong educational needs of the campus community as they relate to health, fitness, and learning. Additionally, this position leads all fitness staff and provides guidance related to the fitness staff development, supervision, evaluation, and risk management processes. Preferred Education/Experience | Prefer a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science or similar degree field and one or more of the following: NCCA (National accredited Fitness Certifications (NASM, NSCA, NETA, ACE, etc.), Les Mills Group Fitness Certification, or other Specialty Group Fitness Certification. Prefer experience with a nationally recognized fitness Certification (Personal Training, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Group Fitness Instructor) and American Red Cross Certification Adult CPR/AED/First Aid. |
