The Employee/Labor Relations Representative administers and interprets the various labor agreements (CSEA, UUP, PEF, PBANYS and GSEU) at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

Job Summary: Administer eight collective bargaining agreements, including discipline procedures, grievance administration, and contract interpretations. Advise department chairs, managers and supervisors on appropriate work behaviors. Conduct in-house training in various employee/labor relations topics. Complete research projects as they relate to labor relations issues and compile reports for management information purposes. Interact with union leaders on various labor relations issues and perform other employee/labor relations tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Labor Relations, Human Resources or related field, plus two years of related experience required. Attention to detail, excellent organizational and problem solving skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a unionized environment, public sector and/or in a hospital/healthcare setting is preferred.

Monday-Friday
