Maintenance Mechanic A growing manufacturer of extruded plastics has an opening for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic, who will maintain and repair all types of industrial equipment efficiently, professionally and in the safest means possible. The successful candidate will have experience in welding, metal fabrication and maintenance shop equipment operation as well as a working knowledge of PLC controls, electrical and plumbing repair. The qualified Maintenance Mechanic will perform inspections, overhauls and troubleshooting on production equipment. This includes gearboxes, pumps, air/hydraulic cylinders and lines, process rolls, film, compounding and extrusion equipment, utilities equipment such as air compressors, water chillers and convey systems.

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to:

•Operating shop equipment including a lathe, milling machine, drill press, pipe threader, band saw, sheet metal shear, handbrake and rollers.

•Performing welding repairs and fabrication using Tig, stick, Mig (not code).

•Installing, replacing and repairing pipe jobs using screw and weld fittings.

•Assist with planning and scheduling of work during plant shutdowns to include collaborating with planners and vendors when necessary.

•Perform preventive maintenance inspections and overhauls on production and process equipment. Competitive wage & benefit package offered. Hours: 7 am to 5 pm, with willingness to work overtime when necessary.
