Postion Summary/Essential Duties:

Manages the day to day work of the System-wide Medical Staff Services and Credentialing and Provider Enrollment teams by providing high-quality support to the medical staff organization and its leadership, thereby support the provision of excellent clinical care in the organization. (40%)

  • Ensures excellent customer service for all department customers. (15%)
  • Manages department budget and resources to organizational priorities. (5%)
  • Recruits, develops, and retains highly competent, high-performing staff. (15%)
  • Assesses and understands “current state” of systems and identifies opportunities for improvement at department level. (15%)
  • Plans, establishes and communicates departmental priorities in conjunction with hospital goals. (10%)
  • Function as an agent of the protected peer review process

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in health service administration, business administration, or a related area of study preferred.
  • Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) OR Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is required.
  • 5-7 years related experience; 3-5 years of personnel management experience
  • Knowledge of NCQA, JC, URAC, AOA, AAAHC, Federal, and State regulatory standards and laws; managed care organizations; Information systems expertise; database management; software development and implementation.
