South Tahoe Public Utility District Laboratory Director

Have you ever wanted to live, work and play in beautiful Lake Tahoe? Due to the retirement of the long-term incumbent, we are seeking a Laboratory Director to direct all activities of the District's water and wastewater lab. Responsible for monitoring the wastewater treatment plant, potable water system, UST remediation systems' sewer discharges, Alpine County water reclamation, Indian Creek Reservoir TMDL, and commercial testing. A high level of quality, accuracy, and productivity is required.

Requires Bachelors' degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or other related science; minimum of 8 years' experience in water or wastewater analyses which also includes 3 years supervisory experience. Must be AWWA and CWEA Grade III Lab Technologist certified, or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.

Salary Range: $7,930-10,121 per month

Laboratory Technician I/II Due to the retirement of the long-term incumbent, we are seeking a Lab Tech I/II to perform a variety of analyses on water, wastewater and soil. A high level of quality, accuracy, and productivity is required. Requires Bachelors' degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or other related science; Laboratory Technician II

Requires minimum of 4 years experience in performing chemical or biological analyses on water or wastewater. Must be AWWA or CWEA Grade I Lab Technologist certified, or ability to obtain within 18 mos. of hire.

Salary Range I: $4905 -6261 per month

II: $5765 -7358 per month
