BGSU invites applications for two Reference and Instruction Librarians with faculty rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. Both positions report to the Chair of the Department of Library Teaching and Learning (LTL) within the University Libraries (UL) and are full time, twelve-month renewable, non-tenure track, qualified rank faculty appointments.  Effective Date of Employment: August 1, 2022.

We are looking for candidates with a passion for teaching who are comfortable in a collaborative environment and place users at the center of the academic library experience. Candidates will engage with students and faculty in a variety of subject areas and at a variety of academic levels. As a member of the LTL Department, the successful candidates will be involved in an array of activities. 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution to be conferred by position start date 
• 3-6 months experience providing instruction and/or reference services in a library setting as a graduate student or in a professional capacity
