Enquirer Media, part of Gannett Co. Inc., is in search of an entrepreneurial reporter to be the face of The Enquirer/Cincinnati.com’s coverage of the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals reporter covers one of the National Football League’s member clubs and creates engaging content for its vast audience all year. This position is the lead reporter covering the Bengals, but works collaboratively with other reporters across the sports, visuals, news and investigative departments to provide coverage for The Enquirer, Cincinnati.com and the USA TODAY Media Network, which includes more than 120 news markets nationwide.
We are seeking an innovative journalist intensely focused on content creation and engaging our audience across all platforms by delivering breaking news, fan engagement, in-depth features/analysis and unexpected enterprise on this highly competitive beat. A proven record of covering professional or major college sports is a must, but a traditional media background is not mandatory. Exceptional knowledge of the NFL, the business of sports and the community are preferred. A rock-solid work ethic is essential for this year-round endeavor.
The position is based in Cincinnati, where the quality of life is high and living expenses are low compared to other NFL cities.
