Memorial Health System in Abilene, Ks is seeking to hire a Controller/Accountant in the Accounting Department This job position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, and assists in directing financial activities related to all Memorial Health System services and facilities. This is a full-time (40 hours per week-exempt) position. Hours will be primarily Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 Education/Experience/Job Duties Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or have 3 years of Accounting Experience. - Prefer 3 years of experience in hospital and/or related healthcare financial administration and healthcare reimbursement, or any combination of experience, education, or training which would provide the knowledge required for preparing healthcare financial statements. - Prepares monthly financial statements and related journal entries and estimates for the health system's hospital, clinic, long term care facility, home health & hospice agency, fitness center, and child development center. - Performs various financial functions for the health system which includes but is not limited to development of annual budget, oversight of annual audit, prepare internal cost reports, oversee internal controls, and update fixed asset accounting system.
