Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence is looking for a FULL TIME Program Coordinator in our Nursing Professional Practice Program.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

  • The Program Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to the day to day operations and programs within the Center.
  • The incumbent in this position coordinates projects within the following areas: Nursing Practice, Professional Development, Quality, Research, Policy Development, and Patient Care Innovation, also in support of Magnet Designation.
  • The coordinator is responsible for tracking metrics on all stated initiatives as directed.
  • The coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing office procedures and standards to ensure efficient processes for the collection, collating and tracking of data and projects.
  • In addition, this position is responsible for independent project management including coordination of people and resources for timely and successful completion of projects, troubleshooting, problem solving and resources and supporting the director in creating and maintaining project status reports.
  • Completes a variety of complex analyses, reports and databases. Creates complex spreadsheets and other required documents. Prepares reports as directed.
  • Assists professional development faculty with planning and organization of conferences, retreats, symposia, and independently manages special projects as required.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-Time – 40 hours per week
  • Baystate Medical Center, Springfield MA

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 3 – 5 years in an administrative role supporting multiple individuals.
  • High School Diploma or HiSET required.
  • Associates, Bachelors, or higher degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior skills in organization and coordination, as well as multitasking.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Advanced knowledge/skills using Microsoft Suite – including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Skype, OneNote, Excel, etc., strong database management skills and other relevant software.
  • Possesses critical thinking skills.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive professional demeanor.
  • Requires strong, independent decision making and judgment skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and manages interactions with internal and external organizations.
