The Missouri Institute for Defense and Energy (MIDE) is seeking a multidisciplinary and versatile Engineer I to support research and development activities that span pulsed power, directed energy, unmanned aerial systems, and computer science. Experience in solid-state switching technologies, pulse forming networks, pulsed power electronics, computational electromagnetics, high-voltage and RF circuit design/layout architecture, and/or standalone/arrayed antenna design is a plus. These positions require a strong foundation in engineering design, manufacturing, and testing.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work with pulsed power and RF systems R&D teams to design, integrate, and develop technologies and systems including:
o Simulation and design of pulsed power, RF, and directed energy components and systems
o Development and implementation of mitigation techniques for high power EMC
o Packaging, mounting, and integration of RF components within a system
o Communications, controls, and data acquisition of system and system components
o Testing, analyzing, and deploying experimental RF systems in a variety of scenarios
o Troubleshooting, maintaining, and providing technical support for RF and pulsed power systems
· Documenting progress and status including, but not limited to, technical reports and briefings as required
· Maintain safety, security, and compliance requirements
· Interface with multiple engineering and non-engineering cross-functional team members
· Travel to visit team members, customers, and attend conferences is expected
· Assist team members and execute other duties as necessary
