TEACHER; WORK BASED LEARNING - COOPERS EDUCATION CENTER | 98 CTE24 | Full-time (1.0 FTE), 10-month school calendar position, plus 20 days in summer - Acting as a diversified Work Experience Coordinator and community liaison; a primary contact between GST BOCES and the business community; providing guidance and assistance to help facilitate the involvement of local employers with BOCES’ training program
- Fostering relationships between students and area businesses for the CTE Work-Based Learning Program, to include arranging internships and shadows, and coordinating annual college fair and employer interview days.
- Documenting community service projects performed by vocational classes to help participating students earn credit towards CTE endorsement
- Canvassing local employers to determine the need for future employees and/or training for existing employees
- Understand the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards for CDOS and how to apply them in a CTE environment.Collecting and organizing CDOS hours for CTE Students
- Distributing completed job shadowing and internship evaluations to instructors and students
- Representing CTE as needed for various community groups

DIRECTOR OF COMPUTER SERVICES | 29 CSC24 | FULL-TIME, 8-HOUR DAY, 12 MONTH PER YEAR POSITION Full-time (1.0 FTE), 8-hour day, 12-month position - Responsible for the overall operation and direction of the Center’s technology function including the strategic design, acquisition, management and implementation of the technology infrastructure and technology-related services to meet district/customer changing needs.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining technology standards necessary for a regional and centrally managed IT function and ensuring compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Develop and manage the Center’s budget and multiple service budgets.
- Oversee the development of Disaster Recovery Planning, Systems Security and Cyber Security Plans to ensure the safe access and storage of district/customer data and information.
- Participate with the New York State Education Department in planning and developing technology services for educational purposes.
- Serve as one of twelve Directors on the statewide Regional Information Center Directors Council
- Serve as a member of the GST BOCES Cabinet
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations, including directing/managing/evaluating programmers/Web developers, testing/data collection staff, technology coordinators and Center supervisors.

DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND HUMAN RELATIONS | 27 HR24 | FULL-TIME, 8-HOUR DAY, 12 MONTH PER YEAR POSITION The following work activities are listed as examples only and in no event shall an employee be limited to only those duties listed below: - Administers and interprets the negotiated agreements between the District and employee groups.
- Serves as a resource person to the District in matters relating to the Taylor Law, the NYS Public Employees Relations Board, Civil Service, and other pertinent governmental statues, regulations and rules relating to personnel administration.
- Investigates and expedites grievance settlements for all District employees focusing on preventive activities.
- Plans and administers general employee relations activities.
- Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting employee morale and engagement.
- Collaborates to develop, implement, and enhance hiring initiatives that encompass diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging practices.
- Attend regional job fairs and host at least 2 hiring events each year to acquire talent within our region.
- Manages the District’s employee benefits programs including health insurance, dental insurance, workers compensation, unemployment insurance, and tax sheltered plans.
- Ensure compliance with employee benefits and communicate the required notices.
- Manages all contractual leave provisions in the respective negotiated agreements including sabbatical leave, vacation, sick leave, personal leave, and other leaves.
- Maintains records and submits reports as requested by the District, State, governmental agencies or required by the nature of the position.
- Supervises personnel as assigned.
- Collaborates in designing and implementing training materials for new and existing employees, as well as, professional development opportunities that align with policies and strategic plan.
- Develops and revises personnel management procedures, policies, and regulations in accordance with Board policies and state and federal legislation.
- Develops an electronic, paperless system for personnel records for all employees, providing comprehensive, efficient, accurate and current records of pertinent employment information.
- Designs and initiates procedures and controls relating to job classification, job descriptions and terms of employment.
- Provides direction and supervision to public relation/community information specialist(s).
- Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the District Superintendent.

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - CTE; BUSH EDUCATION CENTER | 26 CTE24 | FULL-TIME, 8-HOUR DAY, 12 MONTH PER YEAR POSITION - Embodies an energetic and highly motivated work ethic needed to assist with the design, development, and overall supervision of the Bush Education Center
- Responsible for assisting the Alternative Education Program at the Bush Education Center (Freedom Academy)
- Knowledgeable and has experience with instructional technology, inquiry/project-based learning, and interdisciplinary learning.
- Responsible for assisting in the recruitment process including placement, ongoing district communication/training, and evaluation of student enrollment.
- Assists in the drive for exceptional student outcomes and embodies a deep personal commitment and dedication to working with students and their families
- Assists in the responsibility of the master scheduling
- Assists in the preparation, management, and administration of the budget
- Responsible for the evaluation of student progress and performance within the program
- Assists the Principal in curriculum development and professional learning on the Bush Education Center
