  • Relieves staff professionals of routine administrative duties required for the implementation and coordination of services, programs or departments.
  • Organizes and maintains central filing systems and procedures.
  • Assists in the supervision and implementation of goals and objectives.
  • Confers with supervisors on policy and operation.
  • Expedites and prepares reports.
  • Maintains records.
  • Collects, analyzes and submits to the staff professional statistical and financial data relative to service, program or department needs.
  • Authors correspondence required for the daily operation of the service, program or department.
  • Performs related work necessary for the efficient execution of administrative functions of the department.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned.

 

TEACHER; CONSERVATION - BUSH EDUCATION CENTER97 CTE24

Full-time (1.0 FTE), 10-month school calendar position

  • 7 hours per day, 10 months per year, school calendar
  • Instructing secondary students in the area of Conservation
  • Monitoring student progress
  • Maintaining discipline in the classroom and work sites
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned by Administration

 

 

 

 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNT CLERK - CBO32 CBO24

LOCATION:  Bush-Building 11, Central Business Office, Elmira, NY

Full-time position (1.0 FTE), 7.5 hours per day, 12 months per year

  • Supervises work of assistants engaged in clerical and accounting activities;
  • Codes a variety of reports in accordance with prescribed procedures;
  • Interprets changes in rules and procedures to subordinates;
  • Checks account keeping records and reports for arithmetical and clerical accuracy and completeness;
  • Operates a personal computer, copier, computing, calculating, and other office equipment;
  • May supervise the auditing of bills and the preparation of vouchers;
  • May prepare financial statements and reports;
  • May set up ledger accounts of funds;
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of methods used in keeping financial accounts and records including a working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping;
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of business arithmetic and English;
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment;
  • Possesses the ability to follow complex oral and written directions;
  • Possesses the ability to prepare original correspondence and reports;
  • Possesses the ability to secure the cooperation of others;
  • Possesses good judgment, initiative; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

DESCRIPTION:                   

  • Drive van
  • Deliver mail, supplies and materials to schools in the Greater Southern Tier BOCES region,
  • Load and unload van;
  • Act as BOCES ambassador;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

$15.00/HOUR
