TECHNICAL OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE

Wichita Falls, Texas

 

Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Industries), a leading

North American and global supplier of flat glass products, has

opportunities for technically trained individuals with two year

technical degrees, four year technical or engineering degrees,

or the equivalent work experience in a technical or military

role.

 

COATER SPECIALISTS – maintain, troubleshoot, oversee, and

facilitate production operations. Perform quality checks,

communicate with other Coater personnel about production

conditions/activities, minimize downtime, increase yield,

oversee and lead planned downtime activities, report shift

results. Minimum requirements for these opportunities are a

two year technical degree, two or four year engineering

technology degree, or equivalent education/experience in a

technical/military field/role.

 

TANK TECHNOLOGISTS – provide technical direction for the

batching/melting/forming/annealing operations according to

established operating parameters. Establish and maintain a

strong quality process in the department, provide technical

leadership, develop and coordinate innovative projects,

operate within budgets, and complete capital projects and

capital expenditures. Minimum requirements for these

opportunities are a two year technical degree, a two to four

year engineering technology degree, a four year engineering

degree, or equivalent education/experience in a technical/

military field/ role.

 

CONTROLS ENGINEERING 2 opportunities: (1) provide technical direction and oversight for the control process loops in the coating production process.  Write PLC code to include script and ladder logic, electrical troubleshooting (AC and DC power, relays, servos, VFD's, transformers, etc.), knowledge of process control systems as PID loops and algorithms, HMI experience, VB.NET or similar programming experience, and project management experience both electrical and mechanical.  (2) provide technical direction and oversight for the control process loops in the glass production process.  Operate Delta V hardware and software.  Operate Allen Bradley and Modicon hardware and software.  Maintain the SQL and OPC servers.  Use script and "C" language, I Fix programming, OSI PI software and NET works.
