| Job Summary: | Candidate will design, perform and analyze experiments in the field of radiation biology. The applicant will study the acute and latent effects of ionizing radiation on cardiac functions in a mouse model, using a range of in vitro, and in vivo methods and techniques. The applicant will work directly with the supervisor but will carry out work and data analysis independently. The applicant will prepare scientific results for scientific meetings, publications, and research grants. |

| Minimum Qualifications: |
Ph.D. in cancer biology, immunology, radiation biology, physiology or a similar discipline. Candidate should be outgoing, collaborative, and able to work independently under the direction of the PI. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred. High proficiency in basic wet lab skills including cell culture, PCR, detection of gene and protein expression, confocal microscopy and flow cytometry. A background in cardiovascular physiology/firosis models and extensive experience with animal models, rodent surgeries, echocardiography, etc. strongly preferred. |
